About the Guide

What is My Personal Childhood Trauma Guide?

The Childhood Trauma Personality Guide is a thoughtful tool that helps you explore and understand patterns from your childhood, the way you remember it.

Created by trauma survivors for trauma survivors, it’s designed to help you make sense of your early life experiences and your present.

This is not a diagnostic testing tool. On our platform, if you believe you’ve experienced childhood trauma, that’s enough. We honor that belief and start from where you are.

The Guide does not provide you with a test score. If you’re after a tool that does that, check out a 10-factor Adverse Childhood Experiences questionnaire used by the healthcare providers.

The Guide is designed to help you reflect on your trauma. It will point out your past and present challenges, as well as your unique strengths.

Is my Guide free to use?

Yes, the Guide is 100% free. No account or personal information is required to create your Guide. This is a free service that takes about 1-2 minutes to complete for a single trauma.

How long does it take to complete my Guide?

The Guide takes approximately 1-2 minutes to complete for a single trauma. For multiple traumas it may take quite a bit longer.

How do I create my Guide?

Simply click the “Create My Personality Guide” button and begin answering the questions. You can take breaks at any time and return when you’re ready.

Who created this Guide and what is it based on?

The Childhood Trauma Personality Guide was created by childhood trauma survivors. We’re not clinicians. We’re fellow childhood trauma survivors﹣each on their journey. We wanted to build a supportive, empathetic resource for people on similar journeys.

We developed this Guide with assistance from AI tools, which helped us organize our personal experiences and insights into a cohesive format. Every question and insight has been carefully considered to ensure it resonates with real-world trauma experiences.

While we’ve done our best to create a thoughtful, compassionate Guide by combining our lived experiences with AI assistance, we remember that each person’s journey is unique.

Therefore it’s best to view this Guide as possible perspectives and interpretations based on archetypes of traumatic childhood experiences, not definitive answers or absolute truths. These archetypes represent patterns we’ve observed across many trauma survivors, but we don’t know what you might have actually experienced or where you are in your journey right now.
